Home-Grown Idea, Home-Made Quality

Jim Clester established ABC Racing in 2010 in Paragould, Arkansas.  After watching his niece playing with a wagon with one foot over the side holding on to the tongue, he decided that she needed a race car.  He remembered from his childhood days the soap box car, and used this for his initial inspiration.

The ABC Racer

He designed his first racer, the Arkansas Box Car Racer (ABC Racer), to be used by kids and adults.  The ABC Racer is designed with sturdy construction and an adjustable seat.  So even a six-foot adult can ride.  He wanted son and father, mom and daughter, even grandma and grandpa to be able to play.   No oil, no gas, no batteries, the ABC Racer is completely maintenance free.

The 2GO Racer

The story doesn’t end there.  After watching kids playing with the ABC Racer, Jim noticed there was room for improvement.  That's when inspiration struck again.  The 2go racer, born from lots of research, trial, and error, is not your average soap box derby car.  This is a 2-person gravity car designed specifically with play in mind.  Jim explained, "A race car isn't as good to play with because you just have one driver and have to take turns.  I observed the kids after I made just a race car, and they'd argue over whose turn it was to drive or to push.  So I made this one where there's one on the back and one in the seat; one drives and one pushes.  It's not necessarily a race car it's a recreational play car."
